Standing on the Equator

 Many years ago, I stood on the Equator line in Kenya. I was with my acquaintance, who helped better the local Kenyan community for decades and recently passed away. By standing on the Equator, you can extend your hands to both sides. And that was what my acquaintance did.

 I did this painting 50 years ago, when I was a senior at University of Hawaii. I submitted it to the Artist in Hawaii show, and Honolulu Academy of Arts (now Honolulu Museum of Arts) purchased it. 

The museum people are kind enough to send its pic to me.
