 The installment of the screen paintings is done. I am happy with the result. Now I can welcome the new year in peace. 襖絵の設置が無事に終了。いい雰囲気になったので満足です。心安らかに年を越せます。

Decorating the shadow, その影を飾る

毎年この季節になると、クリスマス・ツリーのために、多くの木が切られます。人間の商業主義が優先され、木の成長と命がないがしろにされます。この絵では、木には健やかに成長を続けてもらい、その影を飾ることにしました。Every year, at this time of the year, many trees are cut for the use of the Christmas tree. The consumerism takes over the growth and life of trees. In this painting, I wish that the trees continue to grow peacefully, and suggest that the decoration be installed only on its shadow.

 

An eye of stars / 星の眼

 The title is "An eye of stars". It is nice to imagine that there is something watching over me all the time. 「星の眼」がタイトルです。何かに見守られている、という感覚は心を安らかにしてくれます。

I AM HERE

 Semi, or cicadas, chirp incessantly in August. They stay put under the ground for years, and chirp on the trees only for a few weeks and die. I used AI translator for their chirping and the answer was "I AM HERE", hence the title of this painting.（ha ha) 蝉しぐれの真っ最中です。AIの翻訳機で鳴き声を翻訳すると「私はここ」となりました（笑い）。ということでそれを題名にしました。

説明文：タイトルは「偉大なる母」です。偉大なる母とは、天理教の教祖、おやさまのことです。おやさまが世界という観覧車を回しています。人々が陽気に暮らせるように見守ってくださいます。大人も子どもも感謝の印として赤いハート型の花を捧げています。下部にある赤い家はおやさまのお住まい。梅の花はおやさまの守護のシンボルです。The title of this painting is "A great mother", who is the foundress of Tenrikyo. In the painting, she is turning a world ferris wheel, working and watching to make sure people live joyously. In appreciation, people, young and old, bring heart-shaped flowers to her.
